Short Answer

An approved GFBio Data Management Plan may take up to four weeks to be ready. Your active involvement plays an important role.

Detailed Answer

Data Management Plans (DMPs) are becoming mandatory parts of project applications for many funding agencies (e.g., DFG guidelines for handling research data; DFG guidelines on the handling of research data in biodiversity research). GFBio offers custom-tailored DMPs that meet the requirements of your research project. Be sure to contact us no later than four weeks before the application deadline via our helpdesk or via the Data Management Planning Tool by completing the questionnaire, in order to better assess your needs and prepare an appropriate DMP. Depending on the synchronous work between the researcher(s) and the DMP officer, an approved DMP delivered by the GFBio takes about four weeks.

For large-scale projects, GFBio should be involved from the early planning stage of proposal preparation.
