OpenRefine provides a graphical spreadsheet like user interface for data cleanup and transformation to other formats. If your data are not already curated in a workbench or similar management system that offers such features, OpenRefine can be very helpful preparing your data for publishing and improving the data quality. Duplicates, typos or spelling variants in terms and taxon names can be easily detected and corrected.
